Dixie Butler CFP®, CDFA, EA is the President of; Divorce Planning, Inc., a pre-divorce financial consulting firm. She is also the President of U.S. Investors, Inc., a registered broker dealer, U.S. Advisors, Inc., a registered investment advisory firm, Butler Financial, Inc., a financial services firm. Ms. Butler is a member of The Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. The Financial Planning Association, The National Association of Tax Practitioners, and The National Society of Accountants.
Ms. Butler is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and an Enrolled Agent (EA) - entitling her to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. She is a Registered Investment Advisor, and holds a Series 24 (General Securities Principal), Series 27 (Financial and Operations Principal), Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 53 (Municipal Securities Principal), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam), and Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam). She also holds an insurance license and a real estate license.
Ms. Butler is a lifetime resident of the Washington DC metropolitan area. She was born on September 1, 1950 in Washington DC, and has resided in Northern Virginia for over 30 years. She has served on the Falls Church City Retirement Board, and has served on both the Business Development Commission and Industrial Development Authority for the City of Falls Church.
Ms. Butler often speaks at seminars and training workshops for individuals, corporations, associations, government agencies, and professional groups. Kay Shelton is in charge of client services, and has been with the firm since 2006.
Prior to joining Divorce Planning, Inc. she worked in the health care and insurance fields. She holds both a M.A. and B.A. in English.
Mandy Hagemans, Analyst
Mandy Hagemans is a financial analyst and has been with the firm since 2008. She specializes in gathering and analyzing divorcing client financial data.
Prior to joining Divorce Planning, Inc. she worked in the banking industry. She holds a B.A. in Economics.
