As a landmark, our office is located on King Street at the corner of St. Asaph, which is one block east of Washington Street. The building is “sand” color brick with SunTrust Bank on the first floor. Across the street is the Alexandria City Court House. The building is five blocks from the River and 12 blocks from the King Street Metro.
Parking is plentiful; you just need to know where to find it. First try parking on the street either at a meter (four quarters allows for 80 minutes), or directly behind the building on the street where you can park for two hours and not have to feed a meter. Also, there is a surface parking lot at the corner of Cameron and St. Asaph (one block behind the building). Directly across the street under the Court House building is public parking spanning a whole city block (from King, go past our building and turn right onto Pitt -- enter garage one-half block up). The Hotel Monaco at the corner of Pitt and King also has public parking. One block down on the left towards the river is City Hall where there is public underground parking which also spans a city block.
From the Metro or Amtrak take the “yellow” or “blue” line to the King Street Station. Just outside of the Metro station, take the Free Trolley (only after 10 AM) or DASH Bus (Number 2, 3, 5, or 7) to King and St. Asaph Street. Our office is catty-corner. You could also walk to our office, which is 12 blocks straight down King Street. Walking from the Metro is primarily downhill or flat. Weather permitting; it is a very pleasant walk.
From the Beltway (495) take Exit 177 (A/B) heading towards “Old Town.” (If coming from Virginia, this is the last exit before going over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.) Continue on Route 1 (also known as “Patrick” Street once you have entered Old Town). Continue approximately one mile, turn right onto King Street. Approximately four blocks down, you will see the building on the left at the corner of King and St. Asaph.
From the George Washington (GW) Parkway continue a few miles past Reagan National Airport until you reach Old Town. Once entering Old Town, the Parkway changes names to “Washington” Street. Continue down Washington Street for approximately one mile. Turn left onto “Queen” Street and make your next right onto St. Asaph. We are located one block up on the left at the corner of St. Asaph and King.
From Route 66 you could work your way over to Spout Run to the GW Parkway (see above), or you could work your way over to the Beltway (see above). You could also work your way over to Route 1, go through Crystal City and come into Old Town that way. Once you have entered Old Town from that direction, Route 1 becomes “Henry” Street. Continue approximately one mile and turn left onto King Street. Continue five blocks down and you will see the building on the left at the corner of King and St. Asaph.
